Michael E. DeGrood, D.M.D.


Michael E. DeGrood earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Miami in 1986. He then went on to The University of Florida, where he graduated in 1990. He then completed a 1 year fellowship A.E.G.D. program and in 1993 completed his Endodontic Residency. He remained at the College of dentistry for 2 years as an Assistant Professor in Endodontics. He has been the only full time endodontist in DeBary and west volusia for the past 17 years.

​​He has been a part time clinical professor at the universtiy of Florida for over 20 years. He has published multiple reaserch articles in the Journal of Endodontics, abstracts, and in the I.A.D.R. (International association for dental research). We also offer CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) which allows us to view teeth in three dimensions.

Dr. DeGrood is a proud member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association. Florida Dental Association, Florida Association of Endodontists and Greater Orlando Dental Society.

Dr. DeGrood enjoys mountain biking, canoeing and playing with his two dogs Humphrey and Leonardo.
